F-35 Fleet Is Grounded by US Air Force over Ejection-Seat Worries
- simonblack 4y agoI think most air forces using the F-35 should listen to Kelly Clarkson and 'Just Walk Away'. Time to rethink the usefulness and never-ending problems of the F-35, and start again from scratch. There's an old adage about being the 'Jack of All Trades'.
- hunglee2 4y agoF-35 has been selling well lately, many European countries have placed orders. Despite operational problems, it is a huge commercial success
- adrian_b 4y agoHow many orders have been placed has very little to do with the technical qualities of F-35 and the same is true for any other weapons made by USA. In the relationships between USA and its allies, there are frequently quid pro quo arrangements, where USA does certain things only with the condition that enough orders are placed for certain of its weapons. So those who buy F-35 do not necessarily buy them because they want to have F-35, but because they want something else and buying F-35 is the means to achieve that, since USA wants to sell them more than they want to buy them.
- Bayart 4y agoThe US umbrella has been selling well. The F-35 is just the medium.
