And note that the law enforcement can also access the actual messages from your own devices or backups on your device or the cloud. Even Apple has allowed FBI access to iMessages from its iCloud (which are apparently stored unencrypted).
- daveoc64 4y agoWhat is your point? They obviously have metadata to hand over. Device backups are irrelevant.
- nathanaldensr 4y agoYep, it's all speculation and just blind faith that any of these opaque, closed-source apps (and network infrastructures) and trustworthy at all. It's "trust me, bro," but with many, many more words and much more marketing.
