Open-source Pomodoro timer app that runs in the browser
- warning26 4y agoIIRC the owners of the Pomodoro trademark are evil and will sue any app calling itself "Pomodoro" into oblivion, so you might want to watch out for that
- dominotw 4y agoyea I had a pomodoro app in app store back in 2009 and had to remove it from appstore because I got an email threatening me with legal consequences.
- warning26 4y agoWhat makes it even weirder is that you'd think they'd be in favor, since it is basically free advertising for their self-help book that introduced the term. Instead of legal threats, they should just request linking/attribution.
- russellbeattie 4y agoIn case you want to go old school, I made a clock. It runs in the browser too and it's a PWA. It's open source - just click "View Source". (Actually, I may have ripped off most of the code, I can't remember, so don't do that.) Why? I like analog clocks to keep track of time. To me they're like moving pie charts. So I made this for myself and will bring it up on a second screen or an HDTV if I need it. You'd be surprised how useful it can be. https://qidget.com/clock/ https://qidget.com/clock/
