Once again, facts are problematic.
Connecting monkey pox with the gay community has already provided a false sense of security to non-gay people
It's a true sense of security. The overwhelming majority of cases are in men who have sex with men; if you aren't in that category you are at virtually zero risk. (Yes, this could change in the future, but the best way to avoid that is to focus on where it's actually spreading now).
- hunglee2 4y agothis is like saying in early 2020, 'overwhelming majority of Covid-19 cases are Chinese people, it's all good'. The issue is that transmissibility is not only through gay sex, but in fact any kind of touch. The gay community simply got hit first
