AMD passes Intel in market cap
- wand3r 4y ago> Intel said on Thursday that its disappointing report reflected execution issues and dropped its forecast for full-year earnings per share from $2.30 to $3.60. Is this a mistake, e.g. 2.3 < 3.6?
- zinekeller 4y ago> Is this a mistake, e.g. 2.3 < 3.6? Yes, it's CNBC's error (probably the proofreader's). The original sentence probably would be: > Intel said on Thursday that its disappointing report reflected execution issues and dropped its forecast for full-year earnings per share to $2.30 from $3.60. I do get that the author might want to highlight the drop but it feels ungrammatical to me. Personally, I would simply write it as: > Intel said on Thursday that its disappointing report reflected execution issues and dropped its forecast for full-year earnings per share from $3.60 to $2.30.
