How Eratosthenes Calculated the Earth's Circumference in Ancient Greece
- jaclaz 4y agoAFAIK, there wasn't any stick in Syene, but rather a well. It would make sense as the shadow of a stick would have been very short, and would have introduced a huge error when measuring it.
