Never understood why there’s not a “filter/algorithm” selection in Settings or something to allow a User to specify “news/social/business/whatever”
Maybe makes sense as a dark pattern to give a User more than they want always
- verdverm 4y agoGoogle Ads has this for you, so you can control your ad preferences and blocks, as a user I wish twitter would understand that I'm not interested in family, pet, food, or vacation photos. I suspect if these platforms did better for us, we would spend less time there, and their profits would decline. Hence, they are not incentivized to do so because they are ad based rather than subscription based.
