Given that it seems to be spreading largely as an STD, it's probably reasonable to suspect it will spread. But... smallpox vaccine is somewhat effective IIUC, and it has it's own specific vaccine, so probably not too big of a deal all things considered, especially if people use protection.
- sp332 4y agoI mean, it's not literally an STD. And focusing on it that way is making people complacent who really shouldn't be. It can be spread by skin-to-skin contact, prolonged airborne exposure, or just touching something that an infected person touched. Kids are getting and spreading this, for example.
