Something great I read once: Every time you see 'notifications', replace with the word 'interruptions'. It really puts it into perspective. I have notifications enabled only for a select few people (family), everything is silenced. If you need me, leave a voicemail or text, and I'll see it when I next check for it. Granted, I still check fairly often, but it's when I want to check.
