"RunOnce" isn't even the preferred way to run EXEs with RegEdit. See "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options". That stuff there is very powerful and scary. You can even use this feature to stop the Windows Telemetry from running.
