In 1st year and actually in 1st week at Uni. Having learned electronics by myself in High school I thought that I want to be an electronics engineer so I applied to such faculty. One of the courses was programming and the practical part of that course was to learn Pascal. So here I am, 19 years old, never even touched a computer before, looking at a very bulky 286, with it's CRT monitor heavier that Sisyphus' stone, not even know how to turn it on (button was on the side, not visible from front) and yet I knew right there and then this is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life. Love at first sight, still loving programming more than a quarter of a century later.
