- whicks 4y agoNot sure which one the OP had in mind but if you're into more theatrical audiobooks / podcasts check out "An Unexpected Journey" by "Samwise Gamgee" on Spotify. Absolutely top-tier audiobook of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
- olvy0 4y agoWow, just listened to the beginning of chpater 1. This is really, seriously good. Thanks you. I was just thinking what's next for my morning commute...
- klohto 4y agoThank you so much! I started listening yesterday and cannot put it down. I am not certain how long will it stay up, but it is gold.
- digdugdirk 4y agoJust seconding this request. Any and all podcast recommendations on the LoTR would be welcome.
- danparsonson 4y agoTangentially related, the BBC published a pretty solid radio adaptation of LOTR in the 80's: https://archive.org/details/the-lord-of-the-rings-bbc-radio-drama https://archive.org/details/the-lord-of-the-rings-bbc-radio-... (no sign of Tom Bombadil here either though, IIRC)
- vmilner 4y agoOld Forest section was dramatised later (though they couldnt get the same cast) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tales-Perilous-Realm-Full-Cast-Dramatisations/dp/B077G6CXWK https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tales-Perilous-Realm-Full-Cast-Dram...
