It was a flat reject first, then an interview rejection, then another flat reject. I wasn't actually the one who applied the first time though. About your statement, I don't know. I can't waste my time thinking about that though. I'm really excited about what I'm working on right now and I've learned a ton in the last few years. Going for it is all that matters to me now. I will be applying again next round though :)
