The problem here is that causality (on the male side) could be inverted. There's a relationship between dissatisfaction with sex and usage of porn, but we can't tell which causes the other. It makes logical sense either way: A) Men who are having less sex with their partner use porn more. or B) Men who use porn more stop having as much sex with their partner. Age is another factor to consider. As men age, sex with a partner may become more anxiety-inducing or difficult.

Overall, I think it's less about effect of porn and more how the industry has been morphed to focus on only the sexual aspect (in contrast with the older built up story driven porn) instead of the entire picture /story. Since then all you got is one "type" of actors show how a real man/woman does it with no wiggle room for self exploration. It also doesn't help there are categories becoming popular that quite literally undermines your confidence.

  It's a good thing there are other places to look than porn for compelling story driven content. However, there are so many instances in films where the lead characters start getting frisky, and then suddenly it cuts to the morning after. Surely with deep fake technology and other tricks you could have a third party produce the scene that Hollywood knows belongs in that slot, but won't produce themselves.

Long way of saying what we all know. Teenage boys and young me in general having free access to hardcore porn at the click of a button inside their pocket 24/7 is probably not a good thing. When I was a kid all we had was a friends older brothers dirty mag or maybe if you were lucky you'd find a video tape where the women and men had hairy bushes and the most depraved it got was anal. Nowadays you can literally watch alien/tentacle porn and all sorts of disgusting stuff and yes that is exactly what it is, disgusting and no I am no prude, its just we have gotten so far away from normality in this space. We wonder why boys and mens testosterone and sperm levels have dropped, and why all these weird MGTOW movements have sprung up. Get your hands off it fellas.

  Well, these boys can't experience real intimacy with actual girls, and they can't blow off steam with each other given heterosexual norms, so porn is it. May as well make it the best porn possible.

    Why cant they experience intimacy with women? Why can't they blow off steam? Porn is disgusting for the most part TBH. Drugged up liquored up teenage girls with daddy issues getting banged for money by weirdos ain't exactly hot.
