I get it. Reverse proxy but this seems like extra steps. Kids theses days with their Ngrok and docker instances. What happened to good old networking.

- cookiengineer 4y agoThis would be so easy to implement with dyndns, upnp and ipv6 these days. All these reverse proxies usually do nothing more than reinvent stun/turtle routing, in a really proprietary and crappy manner... :-/
- ahmedxfn 4y agoIt is not about "easy" or "hard", it is about the value it gives to the devs beyond just reaching their localhost behind a firewall, NAT or CGNAT.
- ahmedxfn 4y agoYes buddy, it is an extra steps, it is not just a tunneling solution, it has a reverse proxy capabilities which give the user more flexibility on tunnels customizations, every user has his own story and usecase that goes beyond what a normal ssh tunneling can do for example.
