To take ejb999's example of radioactive water being found near a nuclear power plant, is it more likely that the radioactive water was found because there is increased monitoring of radiation near nuclear power plants? It is important not to make emotional leaps to conclusions. Apparent correlations deserve study, but they are not proofs.
