This felt off to me as her goal wasn't to figure out how to work with the person, it was to win. Her strategy is to fully shut the person down using seniority and peer pressure. She claims anything softer will result in an argument. It just feels wrong that the interpersonal tool she likes best gives no consideration to her coworker being a rational individual who can have a discussion, I don't know about her "interpersonal toolbox".
