Agreed. To be clear it is still in Beta, but it clearly needs a lot of work still. I would love to use it, but half of the functionality just fails with no feedback. At this stage, using the actual IDE over remote desktop is a much better experience. Compare that with the VS Code remote extension, everything just works and you can barely tell that you're not working entirely locally.
