Ask HN: Do u keep learning new technical stuffs w/o any application
I have been learning a few technical topics mentioned in the threads or books by Hackernews. But there is very little opportunity to use them in real world context. Am I wasting my time?

- EddieDante 4y agoI don't learn for the sake of learning. I learn what I need to get paid, and ignore the rest. I didn't give a fuck about React one way or another until I got staffed on a project that used it. Now that I know React, I loathe it. I just put up with it to get paid.
