How is MADE doing, anyway? I went to some of the groundbreakings after TechShop folded, back when it was Emily and a handful of others holding the place together.
I would love to be part of MADE but it is just too far for me, now that I no longer work in the City.
- geerlingguy 4y agoI think their bread and butter are local entrepreneurs who use some of the machines to make their product (shirts, laser-engraved trinkets, etc.). Not sure on long-term sustainability but they seemed to be doing okay when I visited last year. They also have a 'Custom MADE' service that local companies often use to build large and unique objects (like custom soccer goals for STL CITY soccer facilities).
