I am quite perplexed at how ignorance is considered the solution here or that awareness of cancer is considered the problem. I accept their recommendation that many cancers are slow growing enough that they should be left in place rather than treated, but shouldn't risk models be updated rather than trying not produce certain information? If the problem is overtreatment of cancer, it seems like guidelines should be improved for when and how to treat cancer rather than not having the information about the cancer.
