Usually all start with 6 months and options to extend. Market is the same in Asia Pacific. I’ve yet to work with a client who couldn’t find something for me to do after, they all want to renew unless they’re axing heads across the board. In which case they get me to work remotely and bill directly to the project, whilst funnelling communications through the project manager or tech lead. That way regular employees don’t see me, and they still get the work done.
