Ask HN: Local facial recognition photo app to find old photos of me
Picasa died a long, long time ago. Must work offline.

- tarunmuvvala 4y agoYes, I have been missing Picasa too. I literally miss their timeline, albums and other cool editing features too. Doing on webapps is cumbersome and slow. if you are looking for apple/google alternative checkout ente.io
- notemaker 4y agoCheck out photoprism. Kind of like a self hosted alternative to Google Photos.
- lovelearning 4y agoSee if Digikam's to your liking. It's a desktop app and works offline. https://www.digikam.org/ https://www.digikam.org/ Face recognition docs: https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/digikam-doc/digikam/using-digikam.html#using-mainwindow-peopleview https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/digikam-doc/digikam/using-dig...
