Why would you need them? What problem do they solve? I can see why I would use AR/VR glasses for specific tasks related to work or education, maybe even entertainment, but I don't see how the always-on head-camera version would help in any way.
Not only that, but once you get them on your head, everyone interacting with you will act for the camera, because from that moment on everything you do or say is being televised. Is that what you really want?
And on top of that, you record other people, invading their privacy. That makes you the "glasshole".
- verdverm 4y agoWhat are all the people doing TikTok, Instagram, and other social media called? How many times have we already been caught in someone else's photo or video from a phone. Why do you think people will be broadcasting non-stop? How many cameras do you get recorded by each day in stores which you don't even think about as it happens? The uses cases you mention coyber pretty much all parts of life, work and entertainment. You will use them the same way you use your phone, just hands free and without a tiny viewing box. Until you've experienced it, you probably won't understand how much better the UX is. It's like when the iphone came out and changed everything, but an order of magnitude greater. Our digital world will come out of the (pandora's) box to merge with the physical.
