Those who can escape Shanghai
- vfulco2 4y agoComfortably estimating 90% of all the foreigners I know are leaving (or have already left) by the end of the year. End of energy and dynamism, possibly forever.
- spywaregorilla 4y agoSo... when does this actually result in some sort of demand for change? This idiotic policy can't work forever and the cost seems high. What's up.
- bamboozled 4y agoThis is one of the most fascinating things I’ve seen in my life. Truly, what are they thinking? How could they ever reopen borders ? The only conclusion I can draw from it is they’re using the pandemic as ultimate population control?
- pzone 4y agoI believe that is exactly what they’re doing. What better excuse than a deadly pandemic to assume totalizing control over people’s lives?
- bamboozled 4y agoI really don't see how it's practical long term, but I guess they, like most tyrants think it is.
- kombucha13 4y agoHonestly it seems like retaliation for the Shanghai gang and Shanghai politics.
- pestatije 4y agoChinese might end up wanting ROC to retake control of mainland.
