Show HN: I built myAlgorithm, a personal recommendation feed (now on Firefox)
- jawerty 4y agoHi HN! Since I posted the Chrome version last week I got some good feedback both here and on the discord https://discord.gg/YmVzHUNfYd https://discord.gg/YmVzHUNfYd. Most feedback was wanting to have more control over the content sources and also a firefox version. - Now you can add sources of your own by domain (e.g. goodreads.com or news.ycombinator.com) - Turn off the habit tracking at will (while keeping the extension) - And there's a Firefox Verison Here's the Github: https://github.com/jawerty/myalgorithm https://github.com/jawerty/myalgorithm
- PaulHoule 4y agoFrom the viewpoint of privacy and not crashing the web browser and not slowing it down I'd rather get a service like this from a web site than a browser extension. (e.g. a generic browser extension is bad for the above three, it makes no sense to install a browser extension unless it does something for privacy, crashing and slowness like an ad blocker.)
