Correct time keeping is important whenever you have time-base events. Especially the billing ones.
Looong ago, while working on a mobile telphony billing system, we found out that a telephony system by Siemens (Germany, Europe) was creating billing events off by one our when processed by a system by Digital (USA, America) because of different DST switch date.
