Show HN: Open-Source Notion UI, Lotion
My friend and I love the Notion UI, so we open-source a version we have been building.
- Block-based editor
- Drag to reorder blocks
- Basic Markdown-parsing including bold, italic, headings and divider
- Type '/' for command menu and shortcuts
Tiny fun detail: When you move between blocks with your arrow keys, your cursor will remain at roughly the same horizontal position (vs jumping to the start or end of a block).
Lotion is quite limited for now, and we would love any contributions (e.g. image blocks, video blocks, code blocks, etc.)
- mritchie712 4y agonice! when is dashibase launching?
- alfredlua 4y agoThank you! We already have a functional product! We have a waitlist for now because we want to personally onboard all new users. We hope to reach GA in the coming months.
- mritchie712 4y agocool, I signed up.
- TIPSIO 4y agoJust want to quickly say you have a really beautiful and simple design on your graphic here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Dashibase/lotion/main/assets/lotion.png https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Dashibase/lotion/main/asse...
- alfredlua 4y agoThank you! Kudos to greentfrapp for creating that!
- mutant 4y agostares in appflowy
- alfredlua 4y agoOo AppFlowy looks great. For now, we are just recreating Notion's UI (the building blocks) for developers who want to use it in their apps rather than creating an open-source Notion app.
- aviramha 4y agoif Lotion is going to win appflowy it's only because of being more smooth
- ezekg 4y agolol I feel like HN is in a fun mood today. I've seen lots of jokes today and it's been kind of nice.
- killingtime74 4y agoLove the naming!
- barbarbar 4y agoYes. Lotion for Notion.
