Monkeypox is being driven overwhelmingly by sex between men, major study finds
- imwillofficial 4y agoCrazy part is how kids got it
- yarg 4y agoSo nothing's changed? This really just confirms what was already known (regarding the spread of Monkeypox). It's also another instance of symmetrical sexual practices in a highly promiscuous group of people resulting in the rapid proliferation of a disease.

- peter303 4y agoYet there is effective vaccine. But only 200,000 doses available so far for 5,000,000 who regularly have this kind of sex. Plus you have tell people to abstain from sex for the six weeks for two vaccine does to take effect and not get sick. Good luck getting horndogs to do that.
- GameOfFrowns 4y agoSo how does it spread to children then? https://edition.cnn.com/2022/07/22/health/monkeypox-children-vaccine/index.html https://edition.cnn.com/2022/07/22/health/monkeypox-children...
- Manuel_D 4y ago99% out of ten thousand cases being spread by male-male sex still means there's a hundred or so cases spread by other means.
- fatjokes 4y agoSkin to skin transmission. Article mentions kissing, cuddling etc.
- sdze 4y agoIt is idiotic to stigmatize homosexual activity then.
- jaldhar 4y agoIf 99% of cases are being caused by some types of homosexual activity (are you implying that drug-fueled promiscuity with multiple anonymous partners is the only way to be gay?) then it is absolutely right to stigmatize it. Look at COVID; we "stigmatized" things that were responsible for less than 1% of cases and that was "following the science." How is this different?

- giantg2 4y agoWho is stigmatizing? I didn't see it in this chain.
- jimmygrapes 4y agoThat is a very loaded question
- remarkEon 4y agoUnrelated to this article, but how effective is the Smallpox vax for this?
