I mean this is the whole contention. Meta's claiming this isn't actually a problem worth solving.
- ncmncm 4y agoMoreso: it is not a problem that dealing with the nuisance that is leap seconds even solves. It is supposed to match civil time to astronomical time, but astronomers don't use it. It just makes things even more annoying for astronomers, and annoys everyone else, over and over again, for no benefit to anyone.
