So what they are worried about is an entity that does the following: 1. Quietly patent sexy new algorithm 2. Release CC0 implementation of algorithm without mentioning they hold a patent. 3. ? (sue for infringement) 4. Profit Anyone that tried this should be laughed out of court. If they're not, the law needs an overhaul.
