As someone who's in the market for a new car but has been put off by "market adjustments" at dealerships, I wish there was better information out there about what sort of price spikes are likely to be transient vs. permanent. Although it seems like the estimates of how transient these price shocks will be have been too optimistic... I did appreciate that the article at least highlighted the segments of the market where there's less inflation.
