I find a lot of problems with this breezy discussion (from biases in data and actual results of things like algorithmic sentencing) but thought it would make good fodder for a discussion here.
Personally, I'm a fan of the ol' coin flip: nothing tells you what you really want like the feeling you get when your fate hangs in the literal air.
- catchnear4321 4y agoCoin flip doesn’t require a new tech stack. That seems like a positive. Though coins are less common pocket fillings than they used to be. Risk of relying on legacy technology? Easy enough to virtualize, relatively well. Can also substitute in other objects or techniques fairly quickly. Small effort to lift and shift to picking a card or drawing a straw. Probably not a concern.
