It’s Time to Award the Covid Nobels
- rapjr9 4y agoWhile there was a lot of good work on Covid, I'm waiting for the Covid law suits to start. There were a lot of bad decisions made and a lot of people got hurt.

- GuB-42 4y agoSweden had about twice as much recorded covid deaths as Norway, Finland and Denmark relative to its population. It also had significantly more excess mortality. It seems clear that the Sweden "no lockdown" policy caused a lot of deaths. Was it worth it? Maybe, but giving Anders Tegnell a Nobel could create some controversy, it wouldn't be the first time anyways. I wouldn't give it to the WHO either. I don't think anyone deserves a Covid Peace Prize. But if I had to pick something, it would be about Operation Warp Speed. Now, the vaccines many not be as effective as we hoped, but it was important to get them quickly and it was, I think, a big success. If we didn't have vaccines before Delta, I guess the wave would have been much deadlier, and the vaccines much less useful as people would have already gained immunity the hard way.
