An leveraged overpayment for a company that hasn't found a reliable way to make money 15+ years into its lifetime? How exactly was that a sensible buy?
- Arnt 4y agoThat's roughly what I thought about the Facebook IPO price, many ears ago. "Horribly overpriced for a company that's never made a profit." But Facebook had someone who was able to charge enough types of paying customers high-enough prices to justify that IPO price. AFAICT Facebook's products aren't typically very nice, or good for the world. But that aside. It seems shortsighted to assume that Elon Musk can't possibly understand enough about Twitter to justify a similarly high price.
