I think many would be interested in what kind of surveillance hardware and software the kiosks have. It should also be easier to determine what is being sent over the net to some end point than getting encrypted payment details. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a camera with video, microphone or at least photographs of customers. Indeed, grocery kiosks have these in the UK, some actually show you the video feed on the monitor in front of you to install fear to deter shoplifting. Where this data goes and what the company uses the data for, we don't know.
