My Verilux lamp comes with a warning if you are susceptible to macular degeneration. In the meantime, you can get very good high CRI lights from waveform lighting (except in CA). A friend has the light tube in every room, I thought this was a good idea until I saw it. Everything was very cold and blueish, as if it was cloudy. I actually found it somewhat depressing.
