Not too suprised. Have had about 4 different drobos over the years but they haven't done anything interesting since the beginning. It's still a box that takes multiple drives and creates a large pool. Yes, it was somewhat protected, and yes, using ssd for perf was a nice feature, but that was it. For around the same price or maybe a little more, you could get a decent synology with a lot more features.
