I have had to keep a car around because even if the train can comfortably take me to my family's city, I would then need a bus to the bus central and from there a bus to the specific suburb. Point two, I've now a daughter, and in a car I can stop whenever she needs, find comfortable places to fix whatever the issue is, and resume journey.
