I don't think there's any robust evidence for glycemic index/load mattering at all, unless you're diabetic of course.
- icelancer 4y agoIn fact most of the evidence actually supports the opposite hypothesis: It really doesn't matter.
- gruez 4y agosource? I always vaguely thought that high GI foods were bad because it would stress out your pancreas and lead to pre-diabetes.
- stjohnswarts 4y agoI think you better do some more reading if you think stressing your insulin mechanism daily with far more sugar than humans evolved to partake of is "ok". There's pretty good evidence for 30-35% of humans not handling it well at all...
