Gosh, how very odd: not one of the cities mentioned lies outside the USA. In reality you could probably do very much better by finding a place outside the US that offer much better quality of life, and where currency arbitrage makes that quality cheap.
- jerryjerryjerry 4y agoTime zone might be a concern to some teams, but agreed outside US can be options to consider.
- jleyank 4y agoTaxes and other employment “fees” and rules present a problem to companies without apathetic appropriate tax nexus. They’ll make foreign hires of any nationality into contractors to offload the problems wherever possible. Not everybody wants to get to know an accountant that well. I found it curious that many of the cities were high cost, and it seemed less interesting vs going to where space and population density was more favourable.
