Is YouTube worth $180bn today?
- sylware 4y agoyoutube is worth near nothing (actually I think they may be more toxic than anything else now, for instance they broke noscript/basic (x)html support, see invidious), the CDNs are where most of the real value is.
- verdverm 4y agohow many subscribers would it take to reach this valuation (ignoring ad revenue) let's do napkin math $12 / month ~ $150 / year 10x value-to-revenue calc 180B / 150 / 10 ~ 120M subscribers Of 2.6 billion users, 120M subs ~ 5% subscription rate would alone validate this valuation
