While some people feel they dont have the experience, in actuality, its nothing major. Do you know how to setup a dev environment locally? Ssh? Run unix commands? Then you got what it takes to host everything on-premise. Otherwise you are looking at paying 4-10x the costs if u use the cloud If you are funded of course, then investors expect you to hire a team and focus everything on finding product market fit instead of managing infra so using the cloud makes more sense
