Gen-Z graduates want more flexibility, more security – and more money
- LewisVerstappen 4y agoIs there anyone who doesn't want more flexibility, security & money?
- sn0w_crash 4y agoSeriously. A week ago I read a similar article that said “Gen Z wants brands that align with their values.” Ok so? You could write anything like this about any generation and to some degree it’d be valid.

- togs 4y ago> - and more money gasp > Gen-Z graduates want more flexibility, more security, more money Oh! Well then. Makes sense. Title's tone: "can you believe how entitled these kids are?" Let's permute the title to see how it affects the meaning implied: a) Gen-Z graduates want more money, more flexibility - and more security Title's tone: "can you believe these kids expect job security?" b) Gen-Z graduates want more security, more money - and more flexibility Title's tone: "can you believe these kids expect {whatever flexibility means in this context, it's unclear}?" But wait, more questions I have. Why include 'Gen-Z'? Why not "College graduates"? Do we, the reader, need the label 'Gen-Z' to understand the article? Seems unnecessary, so let's make another edit: > College graduates want more flexibility, more security, more money Better, but there's still something there, in "College graduates". Young people. New workers. People who haven't worked as long as me. These people demand more pay? Do they know what I had to go through? Ridiculous. So, we have some lingering age stratification of workers, meant to evoke resentment in older workers towards younger workers. One final edit: Workers want more flexibility, more security, more money.
