I have a friend who is extremely knowledgable about music. Or at least, he gives the impression that he is. The magic works right up until the moment I find the Pitchfork article which he used to train his, ahem, neural network. If I hadn’t found it then they might have sounded knowledgable about a particular band, but now they just sound like someone who knows the right things to sound knowledgable. Once I have been made aware of the underlying training data, the artificial “intelligence” seems a little less impressive.
