Ask HN: What are you reading for leisure?
Phrased differently, what are you reading that's not required _of_ you _by_ somebody else? (Mainly school and work)
- BasilPH 4y agoI've been enjoying the Culture series by Ian M. Banks a lot and I'm currently reading the second novel. It's about a future where a part of the Universe lives in the Culture, a society governed by superintelligent AIs. It's objectively cool, but also deals with deep questions like "What do you do as a human, if you don't have have to do anything?".
- mehdix 4y agoThe way of the kings by Sanderson, excellent fantasy series
- kiwih 4y agoCurrently I am finishing off Eoin Dempsey's new historical fiction series "The Lion's Den", which follows a family living in pre-war Nazi Germany.
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 4y agoJust finished "The Doors of Eden" by Adrian Tchaikovsky, of "Children of Time" fame. Good read, similar themes but presented under an entirely different scenario.
