Didn’t expect to read something like that on Ars Technica. The circa early 90s born generation and those educated in American public school system after 2001 seems to be a write off and a credible threat to our species survival in general. I hope the older generation lives longer to influence and raise the kids after the lost generation. Not including the Peter Pans who attained puberty with joysticks in hand. Just imagine if we never had social media..we might have had a fighting chance. No, I am not being facetious. I remember a time before click bait headlines and viral memes directing society weren’t a thing. Thankfully, there are other parts of the world that are untouched by this American born madness. Asia and Africa might escape this disease. But what we see here is a memetic viral disease and infectious. Virus of the mind..indeed.
