Oh, this makes sense: since mail and phone spans the whole nation instead of states, it becomes a federal matter?
- Spooky23 4y agoYou got it. A lot of newer or expansive federal powers are based on interpretations of the power to regulate interstate commerce. The Senate is by design very conservative (or regressive depending on POV). Stuff gets done by squinting at the law and finding new ways to get shut done.
