Here's your New Bike Lane. Oh, Did You Want It to Go Somewhere?
- sn0w_crash 4y agoThey put bike lanes on queens blvd by removing an entire car lane. You can stand there for an hour and see no more than 2, maybe 3 people on a bicycle. What you will see is double parked chaos. A blocked single lane. And an endless stream of parents and elderly trying to carry groceries to whatever hydrant or weird driveway they parked in. But I guess this is progress so who am I to complain right?
- Arnt 4y agoYour description matches a bike lane near my home too. But it's been there for a few years now, is connected with others and people have learned, and last time I was there there were more bikes than cars. So it might well actually be progress. But you don't really see it until the last few of the n lanes that form a network have been built and people have grown used to it.
