  This is perhaps the most contrived way to say "we have decided to adopt remote-first work in 2022" I have ever seen. VC folks are very influential and interesting people, but sometimes I feel like they get up in the morning and stretch in bed while saying, "I am taking the bold step of transitioning my limbs to a decentralized operating model in order to re-invigorate the bio-somatic flow of energy and ideas and prime myself for the next phase in my transformative journey." Anyway, glad to hear it! Silicon Valley is great, but there's a lot of value and innovation to be found far away from Sand Hill Road too.

  I’m not sure the author realizes how difficult it is (and has been for over two decades) to get an H1b visa in the US. At no time in recent history would a talented engineer from Sudan or Bangladesh have been most likely to have ended up in Silicon Valley, at least not without many years of geographic detours…
